Michael Dishon, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael Dishon, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment and assessment of families (children, couples and whole families), many of whom require marital or divorce- related services. 

He graduated in 1980 from the California School of Professional Psychology and has been practicing independently in West Los Angeles since 1983. Additional services include mediation and consulting to businesses on performance issues, including family-owned and run businesses.

Dr. Dishon has been on the faculty of several graduate programs in psychology, teaching psychological assessment. He has extensive experience in the court system and has conducted many legally-related psychological evaluations. 

For eight years he served as the forensic editor of the Family Law News, a State Bar publication. Dr. Dishon also chaired the Forensic Committee of the Los Angeles Psychological Association. Currently he is an assistant clinical professor at the UCLA School of Medicine, and a Diplomate and Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners.
